Wearing white isn’t exactly practical for me, with all the smudges and the spills of daily life (lots can happen between the time I get ready and the point at which I actually sit down in my office). It’s made even more difficult in the winter months with the salt and the slush on car doors and kids’ boots, which always seem to brush up against me. But these pants and sweater were both too cozy to pass up (the pants are the same cut and material as the “slacker pants,” link here), and somehow adding the toasty boots made the outfit seem more sensible.
Ann Taylor sweater (70% off) | Anthropologie pants | J Crew scarf and earrings | Tory Burch handbag | Banana Republic sunglasses | Khombu boots (on sale)
Reality Check. In the woods, a good distance from coffee and kids, is the only place an outfit like this is staying clean.
