The Minnesota snow provides a lovely backdrop for pictures, but the frigid temps get a little rough, so I’m happy to have a true winter look today with this navy duffle. I purchased it on a recent trip to Palm Springs, where I can’t visit without a stop to the cool Trina Turk flagship boutique. This trip’s splurge was this cute navy coat. There aren’t a lot of wool coats flying off the racks in Palm Springs, so I go it at a deep discount (although if you check out the links below, you can too with at least one of the available colors).

Reality Check. What is it about shopping while on a trip that makes your brain think that you really “need” something? Every time I leave this particular store it’s with items that I would never buy at home. I suppose that’s part of the allure – having the fun memory attached.
