Rock Climbing

Rock climbing, but replace the fancy gear with a cozy vest and comfy boots. Take away the wind and the heights and replace with a crystal clear, calm lake and feet firmly on the ground. Oh, and add in some stairs. My kind of rock climbing.

Reality Check. The day before taking these pictures, I was sitting in a chair right by these rocks when my son said sweetly, “look mommy, a snake!” Right by my foot, slithering into these rocks. Oh. My. God. It was a harmless, tiny, garter snake, but that doesn’t make it any less terrifying in my book. So you may think my version of rock climbing is pretty weak, but I can tell you there was still a good amount of fear involved. Does that thing live in the rocks? It would be a pretty awesome place to call home, but nonetheless I would rather he settle in elsewhere. Yuck.
