Have Money, Will Travel (for Pizza)

On a couple of recent occasions (a suggestion from my girlfriend, a recent blog post) I have heard about the “pizza barn” trend. A night out with the kids; a charming, scenic farm setting; and great wood-fired pizza? Sign me up. Toss in a trip down memory lane as we drive by our alma mater and the place where Trevor and I met? Give me a break. Important to know – the pizza barn season is quickly drawing to a close. Our lovely evening was at Red Barn Farm, which is in Northfield, MN and is open just through the end of October and only on Wednesday evenings (and one remaining Sunday, the 19th). Clear your calendar. Skip out of work early. Make the drive. Love the experience. There are plenty of other alternatives to Red Barn Farm (although I highly recommend it!), so check out the link here or do a little online research to find out if there is a pizza farm near you!

Transitioning Tory

I don’t have the type of wardrobe – from a budget or space perspective – where I can purchase an item and wear it just one time. Particularly when I splurge on something, I need to make sure it fits the bill from two key perspectives – it can be worn in a number of different settings (work and social alike) and can span between the seasons. By changing up the accessories that I paired with this Tory Burch dress I was able to extend my wear of a summer dress into the early fall.

Eye Candy

Candy corn corners the market for “the” fall and Halloween treat. It’s the first thing we see in stores in late August when they gear up for trick-or-treat related sales, has prominence in office treat jars throughout the fall, and always finds its way into kids’ goodie bags on the big night. Take advantage of the abundance (of supply as well as color) in your fall decorating with these super simple and inexpensive ideas. No glue guns or Mod Podge required. Just a will power to not eat all of the material during or immediately after the process.
