How many times do we read, “if you like something, get it in more than one color”? I get it, and I agree in theory, but generally I can’t pull the trigger and spend the money on more than one. What usually happens is that if I love something, I wear it to death. It gets nubby and faded, and I wish that I had another, or a different color, long after the product is out of stock. I decided to test the theory with this J Crew dress, in four colors.

Fishing Fun
Fishing off the dock is a favorite pastime, particularly for big T and little T. Taylor takes immense pleasure in keeping score regarding how many fish he has nabbed, versus dad (current tally: Taylor 8; Dad 1). Ella and I join in as well, although my main goal is trying to catch some warm sun or steal a hug from little T and Ella is preoccupied with fun new boat shoes.
Go-To Cookies
This is the first recipe (included below) I ever asked for from my mom and they continue to be my – and my family’s – favorite to this day. My mom used to warn me continually about eating raw dough – I still hear her in my head every time I reach into the bowl for a spoonful while making the goodies. Luckily, the hubs and kiddos like the gooey cooked version better, otherwise I fear the batch would never make it into the oven.
